Twins Christening!

The twins were christened last weekend in a sweet, special ceremony attended by immediate family.
Molly slept through most of the ceremony.
While Charlie was alert and calm.
Ladies first...
All the nieces and nephews were able to make it.

Quick Trip to DC

I've known Markida since she was in 8th grade and now she's a senior looking at colleges.  So we were off to DC with her brother Mark for their first plane ride!

Howard is Markida's first choice and I could see why.  We had a great time touring and enjoying the homecoming festivities.

Erin and I met Kara, Chris and the kids for a great Mexican dinner.
Kara's kids are getting so big!

Then we were off to the monuments at night!

Sunday we met up with Carla and Ellie who is already running at 10 months - wow!
We had a mini Maersk reunion and a great lunch in DC!
Hope to be back to visit soon!

Best weekend in San Antonio!

PwC has a great policy that if I don't fly home for a weekend, they will fly someone to me.  So Sean and I planned a weekend in San Antonio.  Sean got in Friday night and we were up bright and early on Saturday morning for the River City Run 5K Sightseeing tour!

Trip sponsored by PwC.

We had a BLAST!  Tommy and Tina were great guides and we learned so much about the great city of San Antonio.

After our run we went to Ocho at the Havana Hotel for a great breakfast.
Then we walked around town a little bit, and checked out the famous Buckhorn Museum.

San Antonio is a great biking city and they have a very reasonable rental program.  So we were off on a 12 mile loop to see the Missions.

I was then told we were allowed no more exercise for the weekend!

Next up was my favorite guacamole place on the Riverwalk - Boudro's.

After our snack we took a walk on the Riverwalk and came upon this bridge.  We went up on it and I was going to take a picture and Sean said there was something on the ground and got down on one knee and proposed!

Plenty of people witnessed the event and were clapping and congratulating us.  And took some great pics.

Later we went to dinner at Bella, one of my favorite restaurants.

After dinner we went to the San Fernando Cathedral for an absolutely incredible light show that detailed the history of San Antonio.

The next morning we went back to the Riverwalk.  There is a tiny island called Marriage Island, so of course we had to get a picture.

After church at San Fernando, we headed to Gruene for the Music, Wine, Beer, and BBQ fest.

Then we were off to Austin and Sean needed some BBQ at Stubb's.

We even found a Bears bar to watch the game before taking Sean to the airport.

Thank you all for your well wishes and excitement.  We are thrilled!!!
