From Puerto Vallarta, I was then off to Oaxaca to visit Jenny & Jannick. What an incredible city - it had a huge colonial downtown area filled with beautiful churches, town squares, street vendors, etc.

There were lots of inner patios/gardens and many of them were open to the public...such hidden treasures!

On the best inner gardens was in the hotel
Camino Real, which was an old convent. One of the bellboys took us on a tour of the grounds...my favorite was the area where the nuns used to wash their clothes.

Stay tuned...lots more to come on adventures in Oaxaca!!
