Birthday/Boat Weekend

My birthday weekend was a big weekend at the lake....great weather, great friends and family, a little yard work, and a brand new boat!!!

Benny was thrilled to be back up in Wisconsin.

 Despite a lot of cheering, the Blackhawks did not pull out a win for Dave and my birthdays (but they won the series so all is good...go Hawks!)

 No big event at the lake is complete without photos on the porch.

 Tres and Pat came to see us off on our inaugural ride...Tres of course dressed the part with a boat shirt and sear sucker pants.

 Benny got to come out on the 2nd ride on the boat and LOVED it!

 This picture pretty much sums up how we all felt to be out on the water together!

 That night we had a birthday celebration for Dave and I.  Tres brought a piñata.

 The next morning Kelly and I decided to throw on the wetsuit and see how the new boat did towing a skier.

The Derby!!!

 Brian took me down to Louisville to go to the Kentucky Derby last month.

 Despite the rain and cold temperatures we had a great time!

 Of course I had to get a mint julep!

 And we got some fresh made kettle corn - yum!

Mash-Day Wedding

Shannon and Kevin got married in a beautiful ceremony at the gorgeous Arts Garden in Indianapolis on May 11th.

 Shannon did a fantastic job with the flowers and watercolor place cards that she made herself.

 One of my favorite touches was their relationship timeline...the first day, the yes day, and the best day.

 Another great idea was the Mr. and Mrs. Day signs on their chairs...also hand painted by Shannon.

Sox Game

Brian and I joined our good friends Matt and Lynne to see the White Sox take on the Red Sox.  It was a gorgeous night for a ball game.

 Matt had found a Groupon that got us dinner and drinks in the Patio in right field.   It was fun watching the players warm up while we ate.

A great night with great friends...and a White Sox win!!

Showered with Love

Melissa had the greatest idea ever for her baby shower....a tailgate theme!  Since she grew up in Ann Arbor there was plenty of Wolverine paraphernalia.
