More Sydney Mates!

Our next two days in Sydney were a blast...despite the hot and humid temps (record setting 108F). Leslie and I started the day with a climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour bridge....absolutely amazing views, but no cameras were allowed so sorry I have no pictures to share! But imagine me up on the top by those flags waving now at Sydney below!
We met up with Ryanne and headed to the Market at the Rocks - so fun!
So many fun food stands to choose from!
This guy was fabulous - so friendly and cheerful!
After lunch we were off on our double decker bus tour. It started out great, but ended rather abrubtly when blocks from our stop the driver struck a tree and some pretty big branches fell into the bus. I do not have ninja reflexes like Leslie (who jumped into the aisle) and ended up getting hit in the head with a rather large branch. It hurt for about an hour, but after a drink in Darling Harbour I was fine!! Jeff and Nadia met us after work and we had another great night out in Sydney!

Our 4th traveller Sierra arrived on Saturday morning and we were off to Paddington market to explore the jewlery, crafts, and clothing! Very similar to Eastern Market in DC! After a sweltering bus ride we arrived at the famous Bondi Beach!
And with the record setting heat it was off to the ocean straight away!
Ryanne and I enjoying a cocktail in the lounge (gotta love being a Marriott Gold member). We set up shop in the lounge living room most mornings and cocktail hours!
Then we were off to Ivy...a compilation of open air bars/restaurants in Sydney...as Jeff said "super flash and wanky."
What a treat it was to see Meghan - friend and sorority sister who I have not seen in 10 years. She's in Sydney for work and was an absolutely fabulous hostess!
And now we're off to Cairns and Port Douglas....diving in the Great Barrier Reef tomorrow!!!

Looks like fun! I just want to point out that they let Oprah take pictures when she climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge with all 378 of her ultimate fans. You are clearly not an ultimate fan.

Nope clearly not an ultimate fan. They took plenty of pictures of Leslie and I on the climb and at the top....but at $25 a pop, we decided we could live with the memories and the free group shot from the top.
